A Whole Body Approach to Healing from Trauma

The body and mind are intricately connected. While traditional medicine continues to compartmentalize mind and body, healing cannot afford to do so. The integration of the body into the healing journey has the power to transform your overall experience of life, giving you a greater sense of peace and wellbeing. My approach to healing from trauma, anxiety and stress is to look at integrating the body, mind and spirit so that they work together to provide an innate sense of safety and wholeness. 


As part of the healing journey we may explore cognitive healing approaches such as Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, combined with body-based healing modalities such as Trauma and Tension Release Exercises (TRE®), mindfulness, exercise, nutrition and breathwork.

Wellbeing & Resilience

A sense of wellbeing is a worthy goal for us all. We all deserve to be happy, healthy, socially connected and filled with purpose. Sometimes, wellbeing can feel far out of reach as we juggle our busy schedules and get caught up in the business of life. Figuring out what is most important to you and understanding exactly how to build wellbeing skills is where I can help. Together, we will explore what wellbeing techniques work for you and your lifestyle so that you are able to integrate these into your daily life. In this way, we build towards wellbeing as a constant, accessible state. 

Building resilience emotionally and physiologically is an important aspect of good mental health and wellbeing. Globally, stress and tension levels are on the rise. When we are tense or stressed we can become oversensitive to stressful stimuli which only causes more tension and stress. Learning how to release past trauma, stress and anxiety to down regulate your nervous system is a wonderful way to become more resilient in the face of an uncertain world. TRE® is a simple yet profound modality that can help build your resilience.
